Cancer Plan Kick Off
The American Cancer Society, the Arizona Cancer Center, the Inter Tribal
Council of Arizona and the Arizona Department of Health Services
co-sponsored the unveiling of the inaugural Arizona Comprehensive Cancer
Control Plan that took place on July 7, 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Stakeholders from all over the state were invited to attend the daylong
conference.

Statewide Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan Unveilings
The Cancer Center at Flagstaff Medical Center sponsored the Flagstaff AZ CC
Plan
unveiling on November 17, 2005 in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Medical Center worked
collaboratively with the AzCCP and the American Cancer Society to develop
the agenda and market the event. Health professionals, community members,
non-profit organizations, and Native American stakeholders in Northern Arizona
were invited to attend.
The Arizona Cancer Center hosted and sponsored the Arizona Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan unveiling in Tucson on December 5, 2005. The Arizona Cancer Center worked collaboratively with the
CC and the American Cancer Society to develop the agenda and market the
event. The event was well attended by health professionals, community members,
and Arizona Cancer Coalition members. The Cancer Plan unveiling was highlighted in the
Arizona Daily Star in addition to three local network affiliate news programs
and the KUAT news, which is the PBS affiliate in Tucson.
